Following the success of the Volunteer of the Year Award over the past number of years, the Camogie Association is recommending that all County Boards continue to honour a “Volunteer of the Year” for the 2016 season.

The Volunteer of the Year award is to acknowledge the huge effort put in by many people in clubs within each county during the year.

Nominations will be considered under any or all the following criteria:

Games Development /Promotion
Administration
Facilities Management/Support
Club Support

Clubs are asked to nominate one person from their club for consideration and fill out the form below and send to their County Board secretary. The form must be signed by the club secretary and there is only one nomination per club.

Each participating County Board will then select a winner for their county for 2016 before Friday 13th January 2017.

The selection process will be based on Guidelines detailed to each county by An Cumann Camógaíochta.

It is recommended that each County Board would then present the County “Volunteer of the Year” Award to the winner.

In addition to the above, the “Volunteer of the Year” Award Winners from each County will then be honoured at a special awards ceremony in Croke Park Stadium on February 4th 2017.

So get nominating a volunteer in your club!
