Nominees announced for the 2019 Camogie Association Player of the League Awards sponsored by the Croke Park Hotel

The nominees for the 2019 Camogie Association Player of the League Awards sponsored by the Croke Park Hotel were announced on today with players from across all three divisions of the Littlewoods Ireland Camogie Leagues recognised for their outstanding efforts in 2019.

 

Managers from all of the teams who participated in this year's competition were asked to choose the best players from opposing teams from which the nominees were then identified.

 

In Division 1 champions Galway lead the way with three nominations with defender Sarah Dervan joined by forwards Carrie Dolan and Aoife Donohue. Kilkenny's Katie Power and Limerick's Sarah Carey have also been recognised for their performances as they led their counties in impressive campaigns.

 

Five counties are represented in the Division 2 nominations with Kilkenny's Katie Nolan and Tipperary's Niamh Treacy recognised for their sides' journey to the Division 2 Final. Also nominated are Derry's Gráinne McNicholl, Galway's Molly Mannion and Aoife Maguire of Meath.

 

Finally, in Division 3 champions Kildare are represented by star forward Siobhán Hurley, whilst runners-up Limerick have Rebecca Noonan nominated. Tyrone's Amy Barrett completes the Division 3 nominees.

 

The player with the most nominations from each Division will be announced as the respective winner at a ceremony to take place in the Croke Park Hotel on Friday May 10th.
