Coaches who completed the first Camogie Level 2 course ‘Solo to Success’ received their certificates in Croke Park on club final day from President of the Camogie Association Aileen Lawlor. 22 coaches completed this course, 10 of whom are tutors with the Camogie Association.  The coaches that completed the course include:

Limerick Get a Grip Coaching Course
A Camán Get a Grip Foundation course was held in Na Piarsaigh in Limerick on Saturday 21st Feb. Richard McNicholas and Eileen Gleeson tutored on the course with 24 participants on the course. Thanks to James Johnston county Development officer in Limerick for organising the course.

Carlow Get a Grip Coaching Course
On Saturday the 28th of February, 25 coaches from Carlow completed the Camán Get a Grip foundation course organised by Carlow Camogie board. The course took part in the Presentation De La Salle secondary school in Baganelstown Co.Carlow. Coaches from 8 clubs including  Ballinkillen, Burren Rangers, Carlow Town, Myshall, Muinebheag, Mount Leinster Rangers, Naomh Brid and St.Mullins took part in the course. Congratulations to all 25 coaches who completed the course and a big thank you to the course tutors Noel McSweeney and Eoin Breathnach.

Monaghan  Coaching Workshop
Monaghan successfully ran a joint hurling/camogie CPD in Castleblaney. 14 camogie coaches attended the 'coaching the tackle and defensive play through conditioned games' workshop. The session focused on different types of tackling and identifying the key coaching points for each tackle. The coaches took part in games and enabled them to relate to defensive situations that arise in the game. In April there will be coaching attacking play through conditioned games in Monaghan.

Westmeath Nursery Workshop
A nursery workshop took place in St. Munna’s Westmeath for parents and coaches on 25th February. 18 people attended the workshop on the night. A special thanks to the 6 young girls from the club who participated as players for the evening. Thanks to Laura Heffernan who organised the workshop. Galway Get A Grip Coaching Course
24 coaches completed the Galway Camán Get a Grip foundation coaching course held on Saturday 28th February in Carnmore, Galway. Thanks to Richard McNicholas and Eileen Gleeson who tutored on the course. Well done to all coaches involved.

Legends Tournament 2015
The 5th annual legends tournament in association with The Croke Park Hotel took place in Na Fianna Club in Dublin on Saturday the 28th February. This is a seven a- side competition for players aged 35 and over who have retired from inter county Camogie. 6 teams took part in the event including Dublin, Derry, Antrim, Galway, Tipperary and Cork. Tipperary retained the Biddy Phillips Cup defeating Galway in the final. Antrim defeated Derry in the shield competition on the day.

Hurl with Me Programme- last chance to enter!
Enter your club to be part of the Hurl with Me Programme 2015. Closing date this Friday the  6th March. This programme is for girls in your club aged 7 to aged 10 years and their parents/guardians. The programme will be for 6 weeks. A tutor will coach the basic skills of Camogie to the parents/guardians and girls aged 7 to aged 10 years. A national participation day will be held on 6th June in Dublin for all clubs taking part in the programme. On this day both parents/guardians and their daughters will take part in a fun day of blitzes/games.
You will need at least 12 girls aged 7 to aged 10 years and at least 10-12 parents/guardians to take part in the programme.

Wicklow Club Development Programme
This development initiative will be run over 5-6 weeks in Wicklow clubs Donard/Glen, Kilcoole, Bray Emmets, Kiltegan and will start on the 2nd March. The programme includes schools coaching with a 'Come Try it Day' in each club after this is complete. For more information contact: eve@camogie.ie
 
Offaly Workshop
Damien Young will deliver a camogie practical workshop focusing on coaching girls from 6-12years on Tuesday 10th March in Banagher Secondary school. The workshop starts at 7pm and cost €10 pp. All camogie coaches & mentors of these age groups are invited to attend.
