Ulster Camogie Council were the recipients of the President’s Award at last weekend’s Media Awards ceremony held at the Keadeen Hotel, Newbridge.
The award was in acknowledgement of the marketing and public relations undertaken by Ulster Camogie Council for the provincial Camogie Championship Finals at
President of the Camogie Association Joan O’Flynn commended Ulster Council for the manner in which they staged the event which included a thrilling final between Antrim and Derry as well as a keenly contested over-40s match between
Chairperson of Ulster Camogie Council Catherine O’Hara accepted the award on behalf of Ulster Camogie Council.
The President’s Award was initiated in 2008 to acknowledge the contribution of either an individual or a group to the promotion of the Association through public relations and marketing. The Camogie Association National PRO Maire Ui Scolai was a previous recipient of this prestigious award.
