Armagh were the dominant team in Division 3 with four wins from four in the group campaign. Dublin however picked up only a single win from their four games with a victory over Cavan. When both of these teams met in the group stages of the league it was Armagh who were victorious by a seven point margin.

Both Kerry and Roscommon finished up on the same points in Division 3 after both winning two out of their four games. When these two met in the group stages of the competition, nothing could separate the sides with the game ending in a draw on a score line of 1-2 to 0-5.
