Following a dramatic draw two weeks ago, Galway and Kilkenny will meet again this Saturday in Nenagh in the semi final of the Gala All Ireland Intermediate Camogie Championship.
The two camogie strongholds are no strangers to each other in this year’s Championship. Saturday’s encounter will be their third meeting of the year. On both previous occasions, the teams couldn’t be separated and this weekend’s meeting promises to be just as tight.
Two weeks ago the teams scored 1-11 each and Galway manager Stephen Gleenon expects another tough game: “”I’m expecting an incredibly tight game. If form is anything to go on then it will be. We are very lucky that we’ve had two weeks off before the semi-final. The girls were very disappointed after the last game, we had six points on Kilkenny at half time and we let it slip so it took a while to get the confidence back up. Both teams are very evenly matched so it should be a great game.””
Throw-in for the game is at 2.30pm with the winners taking on either Derry or Cork in the final.
