We take a look at this weekend's fixtures in the Liberty Insurance All-Ireland Championship

Saturday July 23rd

Liberty Insurance All-Ireland Intermediate Championship

Group 1

Laois v Tipperary
Rathdowney GAA
Throw-in: 2.30pm
Referee: John McDonagh

Laois have won both of their matches so far this season. Currently level on points with Kilkenny, with the only thing separating them being score difference. A win this weekend would keep them on track to progress in this year’s Championship.

Tipperary have won one of their first two games and will be hoping that they can get a victory this weekend to push them up the table.

Wexford v Kilkenny
Kennedy Park, New Ross
Throw-in: 2.30pm
Referee: Andrew Larkin

Having failed to win any of their first three games Wexford will be hoping to pick up a win this weekend at home to Kilkenny. A tough task will be ahead of them however as they need to perform well to have a chance of progressing this season.

Kilkenny who are currently top of the table in Group 1, have won both of their matches so far. Another victory against Wexford this weekend would set them up nicely to progress this year.

Group 2

Down v Kildare
Clonduff GAA
Throw-in: 2.30pm
Referee: Julie O’Neill

Down have had a disappointing Championship so far having failed to win either of their first two games. Another tough task will be ahead of them this weekend against Kildare.

Kildare will be looking to bounce back from their defeat to Cork in their previous game. Having won their first game this year, they will be looking to get back to winning ways this weekend.

Galway v Cork
St. Brendan’s Park, Loughrea
Throw-in: 2.30pm
Referee: Ray Kelly

Galway have only won one of their first three matches this season, losing out to Meath and Kildare while they defeated Down. Cork will be a tough task for them but after their last performance they will certainly have a spring in their step.

Cork who have won two from two will be looking to add to their victories this weekend at home to Galway. They’re currently second in Group 2 behind Meath on score difference.

Sunday July 24th

Liberty Insurance All-Ireland Premier Junior Championship

Roscommon v Armagh
Pádraig Pearses, Woodmount
Throw-in: 3.00pm
Referee: Gavin Donegan

Roscommon will be hoping to get one back on Armagh this weekend having lost to them earlier in the year in the National League Final. With both teams on the same points, it’s going to be a close game.

Top of the table Armagh will be hoping they can see off Roscommon once again to ensure they stay in 1st position. A tough game will be ahead of them this weekend.

Kerry v Carlow
Abbeydorney
Throw-in: 3.15pm
Referee: John Horgan

Having lost to Westmeath by a goal last weekend, Kerry will need to get victory this weekend if they want a chance at progressing in this year’s Championship.

Carlow had a good win over Dublin last weekend and they will be hoping to keep up their form and perform well against Kerry this Sunday.

Limerick v Westmeath
Kilmallock
Throw-in: 2.30pm
Referee: Alan Doheny

After losing out to Armagh last weekend, Limerick really need victory this weekend having won only one of their matches this year so far.

Westmeath secured victory over Kerry last weekend. Currently second in the table, they will be hoping that they can get another win this weekend.
