Cork v Derry
Cork come into this tie having suffered a single defeat in the group stage when losing narrowly to Meath by a single point. Wins over Carlow, Down, Laois and Galway will fill Cork with plenty of confidence ahead of this tie. Runners-up in 2016 the Rebels will be looking to reach the Final and avenge last year’s defeat.
 
Having come down from Senior level this year Derry dominated their group, with wins against Antrim, Kildare, Kilkenny and Tipperary along the way with their only dropped points coming in a draw with Wexford.
 
The Rebels are hoping to claim their first Intermediate title since 2006, whilst the Oak Leaf county are aiming to claim the Jack McGrath Cup for the first time since 2012.

Kildare v Meath
Kildare’s only dropped points in the group stage came in a defeat against Derry who topped the table. However they accounted for Antrim, Kilkenny, Tipperary and Wexford as they claimed second place in the group.
 
Meath were impressive in the group stage as they topped the group as they went unbeaten. The Royals secured wins over Carlow, Cork, Laois and Galway with their only dropped points coming in a draw against Down.
 
The Lilywhites lost the 2015 Intermediate Final whilst the Royals have are aiming to reach their first Final at this grade as both sides strive to claim their first Jack McGrath Cup.
