It's Senior Semi-Final weekend with crucial places in the Liberty Insurance All-Ireland Final on September 13th at stake – we take a look ahead to this weekend's much anticipated clashes:

Saturday August 15th

Liberty Insurance Senior Camogie Championship Semi-Final

Galway v Wexford, Nowlan Park, 3.30pm, Referee: Cathal Egan (Cork)

Galway come into this this Semi-Final having topped their group with a 100% record following victories over Cork, Limerick, Offaly and today’s opponents, whom they recorded a 1-11 to 0-6 victory over in early July. Having won the National League title Galway will be looking to progress to the All-Ireland Final on September 13th as they seek to do the double and win back the All-Ireland title which they last claimed in 2013.

Wexford come into this tie following a win over an impressive Dublin side at the Quarter-Final Stage. Wexford performed strongly in their group stage, winning four matches, with their only dropped points coming in their defeat to a rampant Kilkenny side who eventually topped the group. They will be hoping to reach the All-Ireland Final for the first time since 2012 when they won the last of their famous three-in-a-row.

Sunday August 16th

Liberty Insurance Senior Camogie Championship Semi-Final

Cork v Kilkenny, Walsh Park, 4pm, Referee: Ray Kelly (Kildare)

Reigning All-Ireland champions Cork will be looking to secure their place in this year’s All-Ireland Final as they seek to defend their crown. The Rebel County impressed with wins against Limerick and Offaly in the group stages as well as a big victory in the Quarter-Final against Tipperary. Cork will be looking to continue this form if they are to reach Croke Park once more this year.

Kilkenny, are looking to make up for the heartbreak of last year’s narrow All-Ireland Final defeat to Cork. The Cats have reached six All-Ireland Finals since they last won the O’Duffy Cup in 1994. With wins over Clare, Derry, Dublin and Tipperary, they qualified directly for the Semi-Finals with a 100% record which they’ll be looking to maintain against Cork.
