Previews – Liberty Insurance All-Ireland Senior Championship Round 4

Saturday July 8th

Liberty Insurance All-Ireland Senior Championship, Group 1

Galway v Kilkenny
Galway will be looking for revenge against the Cats as the sides’ last two outings have resulted in Galway being knocked out at the semi-final stage in this year’s League campaign and last year’s Championship. However, the Tribeswomen are definitely the form team and will hope to keep their 100% record intact following two very convincing wins against Dublin and Waterford. Kilkenny will be hoping to bounce back from their draw against Clare last weekend when they travel to the West. Both sides will be targeting top spot in the group and a win for either side could prove key in deciding this.

Referee: Eamon Cassidy (Derry)
Venue: Kenny Park, Athenry
Throw-in: 2.30pm

Waterford v Dublin
The Déise can no longer qualify for the Quarter Final stage but they will be hoping to finish the year on a high with a win in front of a home crowd at Walsh Park. Dublin have had a mixed championship so far starting their campaign with a 1 point victory over Clare but were well beaten by Galway on their last outing. However, the Dubs have it all to play for and a win for David Herity’s side this weekend would put them right in the mix for a Quarter Final spot.

Referee: Liz Dempsey (Kilkenny)
Venue: Walsh Park, Waterford
