Project Co-Ordinator Opportunity Available (2025 Gaelic Games Female Coach Academy Programme)

2025 will once again see the delivery of the Gaelic Games Female Coach Academy Programme, a combined effort facilitated by the LGFA, The Camogie Association, and the GAA. Participant applications are set to open in early March 2025.

To facilitate communication with participants and stakeholders, plus management of logistics associated with the delivery of this coach education offering, applications are invited for the position of part-time project coordinator by Contract for Service (beginning April 2025, ending December 2025).

This popular programme aims to provide female coaches in the F3/T/E phases of the Gaelic Games Player Pathway, a framework to develop their coaching skills and expand their coaching experience. This will empower the coaches to consolidate their place and future progression within the Gaelic Games Coach Pathway.

Reporting to the Gaelic Games Female Coach Academy Programme Steering Group, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Managing all communications between programme participants and the programme steering group.
  2. Acting as liaison between programme participants and appointed programme mentors.
  3. Recording of participant attendance/engagement levels across all aspects of the programme.
  4. Gathering evaluation reports from all aspects of project.
  5. Managing all financial responsibilities associated with the delivery of the programme (procurement, payments, invoicing etc).
  6. Additional ad-hoc duties associated with delivery of the programme.

 

The successful candidate will have:

  1. Excellent planning and organisation skills with strong attention to detail.
  2. Strong interpersonal and team focused skills.
  3. A high degree of initiative and flexibility.
  4. Strong budget management skills.
  5. A knowledge or interest in sports coaching.
  6. A high level of competence in the Microsoft office suite.
  7. A full clean driver’s license.

The candidate will be given time to complete a safeguarding course if not already in place and must complete garda vetting.

 

Contract for Service

The contract for service is for 20 hours per month x 9 months at €30 per hour culminating in a remuneration total of €5,400

The successful contractor will receive payment of €600 for every month of 20 hours worked during the term

Mileage will be provided for agreed travel required for the post

This is a contract for service and the services as are agreed with the Gaelic Games family but for the avoidance of doubt it shall be the coordinator’s responsibility to comply with all legislation or statutes or bye laws from time to time in force in relation to the provision of the Services

It is expressly agreed that in performing the services above the coordinator is acting solely as the independent contractor for the initiative and nothing in the agreement which will be signed shall constitute the creation or establishment of partnership, joint venture or employee/employer relationship between the parties

The Parties hereby accept and acknowledge that this contract is a contract for services and as such the coordinator accepts that it is his/her sole responsibility for any and all taxes arising in respect of fees paid to them on foot of this contract.
