Race the Rás began in 2011 when a group of ex inter-county footballers and hurlers cycled the full route of the An Post Rás raising over €140,000 for their chosen charities; the Irish Cancer Society and GOAL. This year, Race the Rás are raising funds for the Irish Breast Cancer Research Institute and Aware and they are also looking for more females to get involved in this year’s Rás. So, get on your bike and sign up today!

How it works:
The Race the Rás group begin three hours ahead of the professional cyclists on the An Post Rás each day and attempt to
complete the stage ahead of the professional cyclists. Race the Rás entrants will be accompanied by support teams in the event that medical attention is required or a mechanical failure occurs with an entrant’s bike. Race the Rás is a huge physical challenge and requires high levels of physical fitness. It is not a leisure cycle.
