Mary Moran has served Camogie as a player, referee, selector, administrator and historian. She was chairperson of the Cork Camogie board, treasurer of Munster Council and served as Uachtarßn of Cumann Cam¾gaÝochta na nGael from 1979 to 1981.  Mary gave tremendous service to 2nd Level Colleges Camogie and has held various positions in Cork, Munster and at All Ireland level. 
A well known author she has written “”Cork’s Camogie Story””, “”Munster Camogie Story””, “”A Resounding Success””, “”Gymfrocks to Headbands”” and “”Camogie Champions””.  Mary was a sport correspondent covering club and college games. In 2005 she as honoured with a GAA Presidents Award in recognition of her services to Camogie.
She is currently club secretary of the St. Finbarr’s Club in Cork.  She is a trustee of the Association and meticulous secretary of the Management Committee.

She is the holder of All Ireland Senior medals at county and club level. 

Mary was honoured for her enormous contribution to Camogie.  Her wisdom, her integrity and her dry wit are much admired by all.  She is one of the finest administrators who continues to serve the Association in a quiet and unassuming manner.   

The award was presented to her by Ossie Kilkenny, Chairperson of the Irish Sport Council and President of the Association Liz Howard.
