The Liberty Insurance GAA National Games Development Conference took place last weekend in Croke Park. The event sold out and included a number of very high profile speakers. Special guest for the event was Sonia O Sullivan. See what Sonia has to say about Camogie in the below clip:

The Camogie presenters at the Conference were Mary O Connor Director of Camogie Development and Peter Casey Clare Senior Camogie coach from 2012-2014. The topic of the presentation was ‘The Need for Speed’. Over 200 people attended the presentation on the day. A copy of the slides from the presentation can be downloaded below.

Child Protection and Coach Education Policy
From January 1st 2015 all prospective coaches wishing to complete a foundation or level 1 Camogie coach education course must firstly complete a Child Protection in Sport Awareness Workshop.
On completion of the Child Protection in Sport Awareness Workshop (3 hrs) each participant will be given an individual reference no. This will then be used for coach education courses.

Over 40 coaches from Tyrone and Derry attended an upskilling workshop on what to coach u8 Camogie players. Coaches from Castledawson, Slaughtneil, Edendork, Magherafelt, Lavey, Creggan, Dungiven and the Loup all participated in the session.
Thanks to the Loup for hosting the course in their excellent facilities and to Geraldine Devlin for her help in co-ordinating the course.
