A number of teacher in service courses are taking place this summer. The Mayo course took place in McHale park from the 1st-3rd July. A Camogie and Hurling module was delivered on Wednesday 1st of July by Yvonne Byrne. 40 teachers completed the course (pictured above). Meanwhile in Tuam the Teacher In Service took place from the 1st until the 3rd of July with Camogie and Hurling module was delivered on Thursday 2nd of July by Gerry Spelman and Yvonne Byrne.
18 teachers completed the course.

Wicklow Summer Camp
76 girls participated in the Wicklow summer camp that took place in the Wicklow Centre of Excellence in Ballinakill. Coaches included Dublin players Ali Twomey, Helen Cosgrave, and Kate Whyte with Paddy Baker and James Murphy also coaching.

Also in Wicklow news Mags D’Arcy delivered a sessions to Wicklow U16 inter county panel last Saturday in Ballinakill with Eileen O’Brien providing a talk on nutrition for the panel also. This weekend Louise O’Hara of Dublin will deliver a session with the same group.

Connacht Under 14 Blitz
The Connacht U14 blitz took place last Saturday 4th of July in the Connacht Centre of Excellence in Ballyhaunis. 7 team took part in the blitz.
Galway, Roscommon and Mayo contested the Connacht A Blitz and Galway B, Roscommon B, Mayo B and Donegal contested the Connacht B Blitz.
Galway defeated Roscommon A in the A final with Galway B defeating Donegal in the B final.

Laois Under 14 blitz:
On July 4th six teams from 5 counties took part in the Laois under 14 development blitz.
Laois, Cork, Dublin navy, Dublin white, Kildare and Wexford took part in a very evenly contested blitz with all girls getting to play a minimum of 3 matches.
On the day there was 2 finals, a cup final and a shield final. Wexford were victorious beating Dublin navy with a score line of 1-4 to 0-2.
The host county Laois were the cup winners in a very close final with Dublin white and only a goal separated the sides. Laois won 3-3 to 2-3.
Laois Camogie would like to thank all counties who participated, all the volunteers who helped out on the day.
