For the Carr sisters, Fionnuala and Sara Louise, 2022 goes down as their favourite, yet most challenging year in camogie thus far.

Given their vast experience for their home county, Down, and their club Clonduff, tackling yet another high stakes season was child’s play for the pair, although even more so this time around seeing as they became first time mothers in the months leading up to their All-Ireland Intermediate club final back in December. Clinching a 0-12 to 1-6 victory over James Stephens of Kilkenny in that decider, the two got the opportunity to hoist the cup together in the Hogan Stand of Croke Park once again, Fionnuala with her son Finn in her spare arm, Sara Louise with her daughter Cara in hers’.
