- Provincial News:
Caman to Ulster took place on Sat 3rd in Garvaghy, Co. Tyrone. Over 600 kids participated in the event and were paired against clubs from different counties in order to give them a good variety of games. Well done to all the children, coaches and parents.
The Ulster Junior Club League Final took place on Thurs 25th with Derrylaughan, Tyrone V Newbridge, Derry. Newbridge were victorious and will be the first name on the Ulster Cup.
The Ulster Senior Club League Final between Bellaghy and Portaferry will take place on Monday 12th August at 7.30pm in UUJ. This promises to be a great final so come along and support the players.
Ulster U16 Participation Blitz took place on Sat 27th in MUSA, Cookstown. 12 clubs participated and had plenty of games throughout the morning. Great to see the U16 girls in action and hopefully this Blitz will grow over the winter.
Ulster Elite Academy will take place on Mon 12th-Tues 13th Aug in UUJ, Belfast. This is an overnight residential for 16/17yr old County Players and over the two days they will have sessions delivered by guest speakers on Player Welfare, Injury Prevention and Athlete Development, Team Bonding and Player Psychology. Tuesday will be games based with guest coaches.
A series of Foundation Coaching Courses and Safeguarding Courses have been scheduled in each County over the coming months. Further details will be released in the coming weeks. If you are coaching or helping out within your club you MUST be accredited with both so keep an eye out on Ulster Camogie FB Page.
