Very launches the Very Camogie League Finals alongside final 10 intercounty players in advance of a historic triple header at Croke Park

Very Camogie League Division 1A and 2A finals will take place in Croke Park on Sunday 14th April, with the 2A final (Westmeath V Derry) kicking off at 12.30pm and the 1A final (Tipp V Galway) at 2.30pm.
The Very Camogie League Division 1B, 3A and 4 finals will take place on Saturday 13th April – Wexford V Dublin (1B), Armagh V Laois (3A), Wicklow V Tyrone (4).
Very was today joined by 10 intercounty Camogie players to launch the 2024 Very Camogie League Finals taking place this weekend. The first three finals are scheduled for Saturday, April 13th, while the 1A and 2A finals will be held on Sunday, April 14th at Croke Park. Taking part were Galway’s Aine Keane, Tipperary’s Karen Kennedy, Derry’s Aoife Ní Chaiside & Westmeath’s Aoife O’Malley, Wexford’s Kate Kirwan, Dublin’s Aisling Maher, Laois’s Liadan C Fennell, Armagh’s Leanne Donnelly, Wicklow’s Casey Kelly and Tyrone’s Siobhan Donnelly.
This Sunday, April 14th, features a historic triple-header at Croke Park, with the Very Camogie League Finals and Leinster GAA Football Quarter Final taking place simultaneously. It is the first time in history that both events will occur on the same day at GAA Headquarters.

Aine Keane, Galway: “We are really looking forward to Sunday’s Very Camogie League final, but also it being a part of a historic day for the Camogie Association and GAA. We have integrated new players into the squad and have trained hard for the past few weeks, so looking forward to Sunday now.”
Karen Kennedy, Tipperary: “We are all really looking forward to Sunday and just focusing on getting a good team performance. We had a bit of a slow start to the Very Leagues, but have been working to improve each game and hopefully will continue that on Sunday.”
Aoife Ní Chaiside, Derry: “We are looking forward to the Very 2A League final against Westmeath. We have used the league to integrate new players into the panel, so it’s great to get an extra game in before Championship starts. We feel like we didn’t do ourselves justice against Westmeath the last day out, we want to perform better and look forward to the challenge.”
Aoife O’Malley, Westmeath: ”We are really looking forward to the game. Heads have been down preparing for it, and getting ready for the occasion. We have been training hard and putting in tough shifts since November. Hopefully this will be a good start to a long year.”
