
Player Welfare Co-Ordinator
The Camogie Association is recruiting a full-time Player Welfare Co-Ordinator to their dynamic team. The key purpose of this role is to develop and manage player welfare support initiatives at club and county levels within the Camogie Association.
The Camogie Association is the National Governing Body for the sport of Camogie, responsible for promoting and developing the game. Camogie is one of UNESCO’s list of protected cultural activities around the world.
The Camogie Association operates at club, county, provincial and international levels with teams of all ages participating in our sport in recreational and competitive activities.

Person Specification:
During the recruitment and selection process, candidates will be expected to demonstrate an appropriate mix of knowledge, experience and skills as described above. For shortlisting purposes, candidate submissions will be expected to demonstrate the degree to which they meet the criteria as set out.
Requirements:
- A third level degree in sport, sports development, or other relevant area with at least 2 years’ professional experience, And/ Or
- 5 years professional experience working in a development or educational role in a sports organisation or other relevant area
- Experience of the unique environment of volunteer sporting National Governing Bodies, and of working with a wide variety of stakeholders including volunteers, committees, and sporting colleagues.
- Experience in development and coordination of education modules, resources and supports, for both online and in person delivery.
- Knowledge and/or experience of adult learning methodologies.
- Experience in implementation of strategic plans and annual action plans
- Excellent communication and IT skills – verbal, written, reporting and presentations.
- Extensive experience of project management.
- Be a dynamic self-starter with a proven ability to work independently as well as a constructive team member making positive contributions towards organisational objectives.
- Have an interest in the sport and a knowledge of the structures and operations of the Camogie Association and Gaelic games.
The successful candidate will also have the following:
- Current full clean driving license, insurance, and access to own transport.
- The appointment will be subject to Garda/PSNI vetting clearance.

This role is based in the Camogie Association Offices, in Dublin and is a full time role.
