Weekend Camán Events attract 1,250 Girls!
 
Saturday March 25th was a busy weekend in the Camogie Calendar.  While National Congress took place in Croke Park Dublin, 37 clubs took to the pitch in Pearse Stadium Galway at the Camán to Connacht event and a further 28 clubs took part in Camán to Ulster which was held in the Centre of Excellence at Garvaghey Co Tyrone.  Our last provincial event will take place in Munster this Saturday April 1st in Mallow Co Cork. All these participating teams will be in a draw for the National Camán to Croker day that takes place on Easter Monday April 17th.

O’Neill’s All-Ireland Post-Primary School Finals Results
 
March was a busy month of finals with the concluding game of the O’Neill’s All-Ireland Post-Primary school’s series being played on Saturday March 25th.
 
Two schools took home honours at both Senior and Junior Level. Loreto Kilkenny took both Junior and Senior crowns at “A” grade whilst St. John the Baptist Community School from Hospital, Co. Limerick brought two All-Ireland trophies home in both Senior and Junior “D” grades.
 
Congratulations to all those involved in these finals and a note of thanks to all those teachers/mentors who worked with these teams throughout the season.

St Patrick’s Wicklow Town ‘Hurl with Me’ Presentation
 
Congratulations to all who took part in the ‘Hurl with Me’ programme in Wicklow Town.  St Patrick’s is our newest club to camogie in Wicklow and had over 30 parents and children taking part in this Camogie Association programme.  A presentation evening was held last Thursday March 23rd for all the children and parents who took part.  Good luck to St Pat’s for 2017!
