Chairman Ray Quigley  addressed the meeting and congratulated the Senior team and their Management on the tremendous success bringing home the O’Duffy Cup after a 32 year absence.  This has been a fantastic year for Camogie in Wexford and  Ray stressed that we must build on this success.

He congratulated the All Stars and Stellah Sinnott for her Manager of the Year award. We need to make progress now at underage as we had a  very disappointing year at underage level this year.  There are good numbers attending the coaching workshops and Ray welcomed Jenny Duffy, Development Officer to convention.  He also thanked Maire O’Connor and Noel Wilson for their involvement.  Two new clubs have started up in the New Ross area, Horeswood and Geraldine O’Hanrahans and Ray wished both clubs the best of luck.

Ray congratulated the County officers this year for the tremendous amount of work they put in, particularly coming up to All Ireland day  when a huge amount of work was done behind the scenes.  He thanked in particular the fixtures Secretaries Jacinta Roche and Mary O’Reilly for getting all 700 matches that were scheduled played and finished.  This took a lot of hard work and co operation from the clubs and officials and he expressed the gratitude of all involved.  Jenny Duffy addressed the meeting and said she was delighted with the fantastic response to the coaching workshops.  She commended Wexford on a great year.  Success comes from the club up and we must focus on underage, they now have something to work towards.  Being a Cork woman, she said to enjoy the success and they will try to get it back next year!
Ray went on to congratulate all the clubs that won their county finals this year and to those who did not succeed.
