Liam Spratt launched the book and complimented Alan on such a fine publication in such a short space of time.  It recalls the year both from management and players perspectives and gives a great flavour of how the year unfolded to that ultimate day the 9th of September when Mary Leacy lifted the O’Duffy Cup for the first time in 32 years.

This is a must have book for all Camogie and GAA fans and it is widely available throughout the county in all Gala outlets and also Byrnes World of Wonder in Wexford, Enniscorthy and Gorey.

The book gives a fascinating insight into the on-field and off-field happenings which culminated in the county’s first All-Ireland success since 1975.  It runs to 100 full-colour pages and has over 180 photographs as well as contributions from several of the players and an overview of the year as
a whole written by Alan Aherne, the team’s assistant manager.

The calendar is jam-packed with over 30 striking images of the successful campaign.  If you would like to purchase something and support the Wexford ladies in the process, simply send a cheque to Alan Aherne, 44 Pinewood Estate, Wexford as follows:

€15 for the book only
€15 for the calendar only
€25 for the book and calendar

A DVD charting the highlights of the year and the after-match celebrations will be available next week.

The official team framed photograph is also on sale at the very reasonable price of €100 and every club in the county should have one proudly hanging in their club house.  Please contact County Treasurer Rose Breen for details.
