which is open to all in the Talbot Hotel, Wexford, on Thursday, December
6th, at 8 p.m. Members of the triumpant squad will be on hand with the
O’Duffy Cup to sign autographs and to chat with guests.
The book has been compiled by the team’s assistant manager, Alan Aherne,
who is Sports Editor of People Newspapers. A full-colour publication, it
runs to 100 pages and features a blow-by-blow account of the full year
written by Alan, individual contributions from the players, plus numerous
photographs which are being published for the first time.
The calendar will contain some of the most striking action shots from the
Gala All-Ireland final, while Denis Cadogan’s DVD covers all seven
championship matches and features some fabulous footage of the after-match
scenes in Croke Park.
All proceeds from the sale of these items will go to the players’ holiday
fund, as a dream trip is planned to Florida next March.
