Cork are boosted with All-Star attacker Gemma O’Connor recently returning from a tour of duty with the Irish Defence Forces in Chad. The centre-forward is expected to rejoin the panel this weekend but it is unsure whether she will be in contention for a place in the starting line-up. Tipperary manager Eoin Brislane will have a full panel to pick from and will hope that Jill Horan and Claire Grogan are in scoring form to ensure a place in the last four.
Wexford, fresh from their 1-17 to 2-6 victory over Galway play a Clare who are looking for their first league campaign points. With Kate Kelly bagging 1-7 against Galway, ably assisted by Una Leacy, Aine Codd and Ursula Jacob the Banner side face a stiff test against a team who are showing impressive early season form.
In the remaining Division One fixture Dublin face Galway with the winners proceeding to the semi-final stages. Galway’s Veronica Curtin, Emma Kilkelly and Niamh McGrath have been in good scoring form and overall an experienced Galway side should prove too strong for a young Dublin outfit.
