There will be eight counties taking part in the Coillte blitz this year, Armagh,
He timetable for the day out is as follows

11.10am Parade of all teams
11.30am-12.30pm Blitzes – Group 1 – Pitch/Games
Group 1- Inter county player talks
1.30 – 2.00pm Lunch – Group 1, Group 4
Group 1 – Indoor session
Group 1 – Museum visit
3.45pm Presentation of medals to all teams in Hogan Stand
4.15pm End of Day in Croke Park
The emphasis of the day will be on enjoyment, participation and
learning. We hope all players and mentors will enjoy their day in ‘The
Theatre of Dreams.’
All counties are to arrive in
at 10.30am sharp. Parking for buses will be available in the outer
Cusack Stand Car Park.
Parents who are travelling by car can also park in the Cusack stand
car park, Please note Parents and families must stay in the stand at
all times and are not allowed on to the playing pitch, The museum
cafÚ will be open for parents who wish to purchase refreshments.
Schedule
County strip to be worn by each team (Skort, county socks
county Jersey)
Normal Camogie rules apply
Referees will be supplied on the day
Players are also asked to bring/towel/ change of socks/
helmet and 2 hurleys/ Coillte Fleece to wear when they are not playing
( Please ensure players put names on all gear)
Lunch will be provided but it is advisable for players to
bring snacks and two drinks
Camera to keep the memories alive!!!!!!!
All counties must wear their Coillte fleeces as
representatives from Coillte will be in attendance on the day
Coaches, please ensure that Players, Parents and Supporters
are aware that this blitz is about FUN and LEARNING

Annual U8 Blitzs
Objective:
1) Developing Coaching skills of our underage Voulenteers / Trainers / Parents
2) To develop the skill level of our u8 Players in preparation for their bright future in Camogie.
The County will be divided into Clusters geographicall.
Each Cluster will have 4 teams with weekly round robin Games. ie 3 games minimum for each Club.
Teams ; 7 A Side with Max of 5 Subs. This is a development Blitz, not Competitive. Please as far as possible restrict ages to U8’s.
An Indoor Workshop, as part of the U8 development , the county board and facilitator Deirdre Murphy, broght over 20 participants, to Croagh, some excellent coaching tips for 8 year olds were pasted on, including some, indoor drills and skills.Thanks to Croagh , Carmel Kenny , her kids and the two Sheehan’s who were the willing kids who we practised on.
Kilmallock Under 8 Blitz
The first of the cluster blitz took place in Kilmallock last weekend, Kilmallock, Ballyagran and Charleville brought teams on the day. Over two hours of indoor camogie was played on the day. A set of guidelines was agreed between the clubs the previous week and everybody was happy that the girls had benefited emensely from the day.
Further blitz are organised for Kilmallock, Monaleen and Abbeyfeale in the coming weeks. The Kilmallock cluster will be in action again this weekend, with Templeglantine, Monaleen and Kilmallock U6’s in action from 10am to 11am and galbally, Bruff and Kilmallock U8’s in action from 11am to 12 am ish..
