Cumann Cam¾gaÝochta na nGael is holding a Fixtures Review on Saturday October 17th.  We would like to invite any two of the following officers from each county board to attend:
 
o        Chairperson
o        Secretary
o        Fixtures secretary
 
The managers of your inter-county teams, adult and underage, are also invited to attend and we would encourage them to do so.
 
Please confirm attendance no later than Wednesday October 14th with Regina Gorman, Fixtures Administrator at fixtures@camogie.ie or by phone at 01 8364619.

11.00am               Introductions
11.15am               Review
11.30am               Workshops
1.30pm                 Lunch
 
The meeting will be addressed by Uachtarßn Joan O’Flynn and the Review will be chaired by Brenda Craig, Chairperson of the Competitions Management Committee. 
 
Recommendations to be discussed during Workshop:
1.                  Minor Championship
          Keep current format for the 3 Minor grades.
          Start the Minor A later in the season with the final to take place in mid October
          Start the Minor B and C later in the season so that the finals to take place before the end of September.
 
2.                  Junior Championship
New Ireland Cup
–      2 groups of four teams (based on 8 teams in the competition)
 –     Each team in group plays each other once
          The group winners go straight through to Semi Final
 –     The 2nd place teams go straight through to Quarter Final
 –     Bottom four teams play off for place in the Quarter Finals:
–      Semi Finals between the 2 group winners and the Quarter Final winners

  2. Meath v Winner of Qualifier 1 or 2
 
A draw will take place to determine who the winners of each qualifier will meet in the semi finals
 
Semi-finals:
  1. Offaly v Winner of Quarter final 1 or 2
  2. Waterford v Winner of Quarter final 1 or 2
 
Nancy Murray Cup
Structure to remain as is but with top two teams going straight to final (i.e. no semi-finals). 
 
3.                  Senior Championship
 –     2 Groups of four
 –     Each team in group plays each other once
 –     The group winners go straight through to Semi Final
 –     The 2nd place teams go straight through to Quarter Final
 –     Bottom four teams play off for place in the Quarter Finals (seeded)
 –     Semi Finals between the 2 group winners and the Quarter Final winners
 
The structure for the national league also needs to be considered. 
 
4.                  U16C Competition & Div 5/Mßire NÝ ChinnÚide Competition
–      The League Div 5 Blitz to be discontinued
–      Roscommon (Nancy Murray Winners) and Kildare (League Div 4 Winners) to be invited to enter a team in the Mßire NÝ ChinnÚide Cup to bring number of teams up to 8.
–      2 groups of four
–      Put counties who are close to each other geographically in the same group where possible
–      3 rounds in each group
–      3 of the teams in each group host one round of the competition where all teams in the group play each other once
 –     Points are awarded for each game drawn and won. 
 –     Points carry over from each round and the top 2 teams on an accumulated points basis from each group play in the All Ireland final at a later date. 
 
          U16 A&B grades to remain the same as 2008.

          U16C competition to run on the same basis as Mßire NÝ ChinnÚide
