U14 Coillte Development squad blitz at Thomastown GAA grounds

On Saturday August 15, Armagh, Kildare, Wicklow and Kilkenny participated in an under 14 Coillte Development Squads Blitz at Thomastown GAA grounds, Co Kilkenny.

These counties were chosen as four of the eight counties who participated in the Coilte Development Squads Initiative in 2009. The counties have been receiving coaching for the last few months and Saturdays blitz was organised in preparation for October 26th when they will have the opportunity to play in Croke Park.

Coilte Regional Manager for the south east Mick Power called into see the teams in action and was very impressed with the skill level and standard of play.

All teams played each other in Thomastown and then travelled into Nowlan Park to see the Gala All Ireland senior semi finals and to participate in the GAA 125 celebrations at half time.
