Derry and Antrim will compete in the Ulster Under-16 final tomorrow (Sat) in Swatragh at 2pm. The game promises to be a thrilling encounter with some of Ulster‘s finest young players competing.

The Derry team has talent throughout with two of their players Karen Kielt and Grainne McNicholl receiving College’s All-Stars.

Tyrone and Cavan will contest the Ulster Junior Championship semi-final. Both teams have continued to impress and improve so the game promises to be a thrilling encounter.

Tyrone will be favourites with star players such as All-Star nominee Juile Lagan and the O’Neill sisters in their side.

The Ballinderry Ulster Camogie Tournament semi-finals and final will be played tomorrow at 1.00pm. This is the fifth year the Tournament has ran, the preliminary rounds were played on Easter Monday and Tuesday with 16 teams competing in 24 games, each of which were highly competitive.

The tournament which was set up by the Ballinderry Shamrocks Camogie Club

in memory of their team mate Patricia Bateson is slowly becoming one of the most prestigious tournaments attracting some of Ulster‘s finest teams.

“”The Tournament is a fitting memory of such an esteemed member of our club. Patricia was a very dedicated and skilful Camogie player who enjoyed all aspects of the game and wore her club jersey with great pride,“” said Anne Marie Bateson.

Wednesday marked the start of the Ulster Cup and there were a few surprises with Eoghan Rua, Coleraine sealing an impressive victory over Lavey and Slaughtneil overcoming Keady. While Castledawson beat former All-Ireland Club Champions Liatroim Fontenoys and defending All-Ireland Club champions Rossa having an emphatic win over Dunloy. Ballycran also overcame neighbours Clonduff.
