Indoor venues in Tralee, Listowel and Scartaglen played host to a six week Camogaerobics programme facilitated by the Camogei Association in association with Kerry Local Sports Partnership.
Last Monday evening all participants made their way to the excellent indoor facilities in Causeway Community College to test their newly acquired skills in a fun blitz. The games were keenly contested and enjoyed by all involved. All participants received T-Shirts while refreshments and tea generously provided by the Causeway Camogie Club rounded off a very enjoyable evening.
Camogaerobics is a combination of indoor Camogie skills and circuit training. Over 40 women took part in the activities which took place in KDYS Tralee, the Listowel Community Centre and the local hall in Scartaglen.

“”We are delighted with the success of the Camog Aerobics programme. It is aimed at adults who have never played the game and would like the chance to try it out/ those who would like to get back into the game for a bit of fun and light exercise without an emphasis on competition.
æAll the participants have really enjoyed it thanks in no small part to the excellent tutors Michael Kiely, Sarah Sexton, Danielle Sheedy and Stephen Guilfoyle and Kerry Camogie Development Officer Fiona Casey for her involvement in the programme and arranging an excellent final evening in Causeway.
We are also extremely grateful to Cora Carraig and the Kerry Local Sports Partnership for their support and funding they provided towards programme costs as well as their assistance in promoting the Camog-Aerobics programme.
The Ladies in Listowel will continue to play Camog Aerobics until just before Christmas while plans are in place to establish another 8 week programme in the new year in Kerry.
