Commenting on today’s announcement Joan O’Flynn President of the Camogie Association:
“”This year’s Gala All Ireland Camogie Championship has been of top quality with seven teams vying for the honour of senior All Ireland champions. A hugely exciting and competitive championship produced outstanding games of great skill, athleticism, passion and commitment with Wexford claiming the senior crown.
The All Stars acknowledge outstanding individual displays over the course of the year. All players were graded under specific criteria before a list of 45 of the country’s senior inter-county camogie players were decided upon. For those that received a nomination it is a testament to their tremendous sporting calibre. I am delighted that this particular group of players from seven counties will be afforded national recognition for their excellent displays during the year. We look forward to the announcement of the 2010 All Star Team on November 6th.””
