U15 Leinster Camogie Blitz in Carlow Sat Oct 2nd

The U15 Leinster Development Blitz took place in Carlow Town Hurling Club on Sat 2nd October. Representatives from most Leinster counties attended on the day, each bringing along 1 or 2 squads of players. This initiative has been running for 3 years and is funded by the Leinster Development Committee, it has proven to be a huge success year on year. Thank You, to all county trainers and co-ordinators who have put in continuous work throughout the last year. Without whom this initiative would not be possible. We hope to continue this programme into the coming years. And urge each county to come on board if you have not already done so!

A players viewà..

I was one of 38 girls from Kildare who played in the Leinster U15 Blitz. We all got new tops from Kildare Camogie for the day which we were all delighted with. All the girls from the different Kildare clubs got on really well together on the day.

We were divided into two teams and I played in the group with teams from Kilkenny, Laois and Dublin. We played Dublin first and then Kilkenny before we had a break for lunch. We played Laois in the afternoon. The other Kildare team played their matches on the other pitch at the same time.

It was great to meet and play against girls from different counties and as all the teams were pretty even we had enjoyable matches which definitely helped improve our skills.

All the girls really enjoyed it and are looking forward to playing for Kildare next year.
