Ahead of the All-Stars Awards on November 3rd, sponsored by Liberty Insurance, we take a closer look at the nominated players starting with the three nominated goalkeepers.

Emma Kavanagh (Kilkenny) – The 2016 beneficiary receives her fourth nomination for her solid displays between the posts for the League and Leinster Champions. The Rower Inistioge club player was instrumental in starting the attacks from the back for the Cats, while being defensively sound throughout the year. A deserved nomination for the 25-year-old whose current CV includes one All-Ireland title, four league titles and an All-Stars award.

Aoife Murray (Cork) – The Cloughduv shot stopper fulfilled a lifelong ambition when she climbed the steps of the Hogan Stand as All-Ireland winning captain in September. Murray is undoubtedly one of the best goalkeepers in the game and receiving her 13th nomination is a testament to her ability. Murray is looking to add her eighth solo award to her impressive collection, including nine All-Ireland trophies.

Sarah Healy (Galway) – Healy becomes only the second Galway goalkeeper to receive an All-Stars nomination and many will agree that the nomination is fully deserved! The 18-year-old who lined out for both the Seniors and Minors in 2018 had a fantastic year between the sticks for the Tribeswomen and produced many confident performances to date. The St. Thomas’ player is one of five Galway nominees this year and a first-time nominee.
