Annual Congress 2019 considered 14 motions with the most significant change to be passed being the ability to allow trial Playing Rules in-between Playing Rule Congresses.
The Uachtarán took the opportunity on Friday night to welcome the Association’s incoming Ard Stiúrthóir Sinéad McNulty and wished her the best of luck for when she takes up the role in June.
This year’s Annual Congress also saw two changes to Ard Chomhairle with Roscommon’s Niamh Kilmartin replacing Sheila O’Donohoe as Secretary and Cork’s Shirley Moloney taking up the vacant position of PR and Communications Representative.
There were presentations at this year’s Congress by Communications Manager Cian Nelson on the Association’s first ever Communications Strategy (2019-2021), the One Club Model (by Mac Uílín CLG, Ballycastle, Co. Antrim), the National Development Plan and also on Coaching and Games.
