Camogie Development Initiative Tuesday 30th September in Naas GAA, between 11.00 a.m. and 12.30.

This initiative is to support the development of young referees. 15 Transition Year Students from Naas, Leixlip and Newbridge schools participated in a new course offered by Cumann Cam¾gaÝochta na nGael over the past few weeks.

These students undertook a foundation level referee course specificly designed for TY students called the Green CARD (Colleges Applied Referee Development) course. They learnt all aspects of refereeing (the good, the bad and the ugly!) from Referee Tutor, +na Kearney (Chairperson of the National Referee’s Committee) and will now put everything they learnt into practice on Tuesday 30th September next at a camogie blitz

Each newly qualified referee will take to the field to referee this County Participation Blitz organised for Kildare Schools. 1st and 2nd yr teams from the various schools will play in this non-competitive fun event. The official presentation for these referees will also take place where they will be awarded an official Green CARD Referee Jersey and pack.

The key contact for the event is the National Post-Primary Camogie Development Co-ordinator Jennifer Steede jennifer@camogie. or 0876436579
