The level 2 coaching course ‘Solo to Success’ started last weekend Friday the 30th and Saturday the 31st October. The course is being held in Ardclough GAA club in Kildare. 16 coaches are attending this course. The course targets coaches all over the country who are involved in coaching intercounty development squads, intercounty under 16/minor teams and also club under 18 and adult teams.
The next weekend is the 14th and 15th November with the final date on 28th November. Each coach will undertake a practical assessment also before receiving their Level 2 certification. modules last weekend included Assist and Challenge, Reflection, Games Based Coaching and Physical Fitness.

Under 17 Development Squad day:
On Saturday the 31st of November Carlow and Wexford under 17 squads took part in a development day at Carlow IT which included coaching sessions from guest coaches, talks from guest speakers and a game between both squads.  Colm Bonner took a session on “Developing defensive play and tackling”. Paddy Mullally worked on “Attacking play” and Conor Phelan worked on improving the players “Team Play” through small sided conditioned games.
The girls then took a break from training as Dietician Lydia Tracey made a presentation on “Fuelling the body for Sport”. The girls then had a questions and answers session with Wexford Camogie Star Kate Kelly. Kate outlined her experiences of balancing school life with Camogie. Kate also spoke about her long term goal of winning an All-Ireland and how she went about achieving her goals. Kate gave an insight into how she personally prepares for games and training.

Ulster Sport Agus Spraoi
The Ulster Sport agus Sproai day took place in Queens Sports Facility on  Tuesday 3rd November. This was a 1st year blitz with a massive 26 teams taking part on the day. Huge thanks to Queens sports facility and to ulster council hurling staff for all their support. Over 200 girls were involved in the day. Well done to all who participated!

Coaching the Tackle Workshop- Dublin
A Coaching the Tackle workshop tutored by Mark McManus took place in Good Counsel GAA club in Dublin on Thursday the 29th October with 25 coaches attending on the evening.

Halloween Camps
Belfast
The Camogie Association in partnership with BETTER facility in whiterock leisure centre and the Belfast Community Sports Development Network ran a very successful Halloween camp over two day. There was 35 Girls in attendance and a big thanks to Seamus and Sean Mckenna and Emma Kelly for their top quality coaching over the two days.

Dublin
The Dublin Senior team with lead coach Ali Towmey organised a camogie camp over the Halloween break from the 27th-30th October with 100 girls taking part. Thanks to St.Brigids GAA club for their facilities for the camp and to all the senior team for coaching on the camp.
