Mallow took the Division 2 Cork Feile Na NGael title as they defeated Na Piarsaigh in Ballinlough on Friday last. They led 3-3 to no score at the half time whistle two Jessica Murphy goals and one from Tilly Downes setting the foundations for victory as Piarsaigh strove to get into the game. Bronagh Ganley hit two first half points while Jessica Murphy added to her with a point to end a productive opening thirty minutes for Mallow.
Inside ten minutes of the restart Lynn O Sullivan stretched the Mallow lead but credit to Na Piarsaigh who battled on and they were rewarded with a goal from substitute Katie Cooke. The strength of Mallow was evident as they took every chance that came their way, a Lynn O Sullivan goal to ensure no way back for Na Piarsaigh after an exciting contest.
Mallows Bronagh Ganley was named as Player of the Match following an excellent performance.
