School of Excellence Workshop
Above pictured are managers/coaches who attended the Ulster School of Excellence Workshop on Saturday 15th March in the Mid Ulster Sports Arena Cookstown. Guest coach Joe Passmore provided the practical session on the day. Sixteen coaches from around the province attended the session with Eoghan Roe Coleraine and Tyrone players put through their paces for the practical. Joe provided a practical on Fitness with the ball and conditioned games.
 
 
You & Me Play Camogie Initiative
Don’t forget to enter you club to be in with the chance to be chosen for the You & Me play camogie initiative which targets parents and their teenage daughters and includes an element of nutrition also. Closing date is Wednesday 26th March. Click on following link to apply:
 
Fermanagh Development
20 primary schools will compete in an indoor camogie tournament to represent Fermanagh camogie in the Ulster Cumann na mBunscol in Bawnacre centre in Irvinestown on 19th March.
 
A mentoring programme is taking place in Knocks Fermanagh on 19th March in an effort to get camogie going in the county. Boys and girls are participating in the programme.
 
Mum & Me
A Mum & Me programme will be starting in Eire Og Belfast on 20th March. This is a new club in Belfast and it is hoped by running this programme that there will be an increased volunteer base in the club. Parents are invited to take part in the programme. Cavan Development
A 1st and 2nd year camogie blitz took place in Breffni Park 3G pitch on 14th March. 65 girls form 5 schools attended the blitz. The schools that attended include St Clares Ballyjamesduff, Bailieboro CS, Breifne College, Beech Hill and St Aidans Cootehill. Under 13 Indoor Blitz
An under 13 indoor blitz will take place in Meadowbank Magherafelt on 23rd March. 21 teams from 15 clubs in 4 counties are expected to attend the Blitz with over 200 participants in total. Contact lisa@camogie.ie for more information
 
Down second level Blitz
The Down second level colleges divisional finals blitz for under 14’s will take place in Breffni Park 3G pitch in Cavan on 21st March. For more informration on this blitz, please contact gerard@camogie.ie
 
 
Coaching Workshops
Wicklow Workshop
19 coaches attended a coaching workshop in Aughrim in Wicklow on Wednesday the 12th March. The workshop covered fundamentals using games and included basic coaching tips.
 
Down Workshop
A indoor camogie workshop was held in Assumption Grammar School, Ballynahinch Down on the 13th March. 11 coaches attended from Kilcoo Bredagh, Ballela and new clubs Drumaness and Dromintee.
