A Festival of Camogie was organised in Offaly for all the Under 8 & Under 10 Camogie players from around the county last weekend. An amazing 230 players took part in games in St. Rynaghs GAA club in Banagher. 120 U8 girls & 110 U10 girls displayed their skills in a number of games played in superb conditions on the day.
A huge thanks to all the clubs who supported and attended on the day. Special thanks to St. Rynagh’s club for the use of their facilities and for their assistance in the event. For more information on this initiative and camogie in Offaly contact Lizzie Flynn on: lflynn@camogie.ie

Cooper All Ireland Under 14 Camogie Championship Blitz
The Annual All Ireland Under 14 Camogie championship Blitz takes place across 6 venues in Dublin and 1 venue in Longford this Saturday the 13th September. 1100 girls will take part in the competition across 5 divisions. Kildare under 15 Blitz:
On Saturday the 6th of September in Donore, Co.Kildare an under 15 blitz was held.
Three counties and 6 teams took part with a total of 95 girls getting the chance to represent there counties in the Cup and Shield competitions.
 
Wicklow and Laois contested the shield final with Laois winning on the day.
The cup final was between Kildare and Laois. The cup final was very close with Kildare winning by the smallest of margins. Congrats to all teams who took part on the day.  Thanks to Roberta Farrell who organised the event and the mentors and players from Laois, Wicklow and Kildare who took part on the day.
 
 
 
Castlebar camogie player makes her debut in Croke Park!
Last Sundays All-Ireland Hurling Final between Kilkenny and Tipperary will be a day to remember for young camogie star Niamh Kennedy from the Castlebar Camogie Club. The Snugboro NS pupil got the opportunity to play at half time in the INTO/Mini7s exhibition game in front of thousands of people on the hallowed turf of Croke Park. Earlier this year, Niamh played a starring role for her school side – Snugboro NS – as the claimed the Mayo Cuman na mBunscoil Mini 7s camogie tournament and is also a regular with the Castlebar Mitchels Camogie Club.

Down Coaching Workshop
There will be a coaching workshop held in Atticall Camogie Club, Co Down on Thursday 11th September. The workshop is being delivered by Camogie RDO Ger Gribben and will focus on skills and games for the U12 / U14 age group. All Camogie and Hurling coaches are welcome. The workshop will involve the Atticall U12 Camogie players so coaches will be involved as 'Coaches' on the evening. The workshop begins at 6.45pm.

Code of Ethics
A Code of Ethics Course will take place in Kilcormack Community Centre Offaly on Monday 13th October. The course will cost €10 per person. Contact lflynn@camogie.ie to book a place on the course.
