Fantastic news for Longford Camogie! The possibility of a new Camogie club in the county is looking likely after a huge turn out to the first night of a Mum & Me Programme held in Kenagh. 19 parents/guardians turned up on the first night. 28 daughters from Under 6 up to Under 10 also participated in the indoor Camogie session. The programme is tutored by Colm Flynn. The programme continues for the next 5 weeks with the hope the club will form as an official camogie club early 2015. For more information contact Lizzie Flynn on email lflynn@camogie.ie.

Fun Direction Project
Fun Direction is an Inner city initiative run by Ciaran Duffy. The idea came from a summer camp idea to get more girls active in the inner city in Dublin which has continued to be a girls multi sports club in 2 locations – East Wall & O Connells school. There are 30 inner city girls taking part in the project. Camogie is one of the main sports the girls take part in each week.  Last week was European Move Week and the girls donated €2 each to Breast Cancer awareness/Irish cancer society and wore pink for the day!
