Donaghmore Ashbourne Come Hurl with Me Programme
Above pictured are parents and daughters from the Come Hurl with me Programme in Donaghmore/Ashbourne. The 6 week programme came to a conclusion earlier this  week. 13 parents and 30 daughters participated in the programme that was tutored by Richie O Donnell. Thanks to Bronagh Gaughan for organising the programme in the club.
 
Down second level Blitz
Over 160 girls from 8 schools attended the Down Camogie blitz held on 4th March in St Malachy's High School, Castlewellan, Co Down. The schools included Our Lady's Newry, Sacred Heart Newry, St Patricks Banbridge, Assumption Grammar Ballynahinch, St Marks Warrenpoint, St Malachy's Castlewellan, St Louis Kilkeel and New-Bridge College Loughbrickland.
 
The blitz is part of a series of Blitzes and Come and Try Days that the Down Second Level Schools Camogie Committee are running over the next 2 months which will cater for players of all abilities within the Down Second Level Colleges. Well done to all involved and thanks to all the teachers and referees for their support and expertise especially Bronagh Mone who co-ordinated the event with great efficiency.
 
 
 
School of Excellence Provincial Workshop in Ulster this weekend:
The Ulster School of Excellence Workshop takes place on Saturday 15th March in the Mid Ulster Sports Arena. Start time is 10am with guest coach Joe Passmore providing the practical session on the day.

Ulster second level indoor Under 10 Blitz
140 under 10 camogie players from Antrim, Armagh, Derry, Down ad Tyrone enjoyed a thrilling experience on Sunday the 9th March when they participated in an indoor camogie blitz in Meadowbank Sports Arena Derry. There were 26 teams from 14 clubs at the blitz with 72 games played in the 2 hours allocated with great team work and skill levels on display. Feedback from the clubs was very positive with a number of clubs expressing interest in another such blitz.
 
Second Level colleges Blitz Cavan coming up….
A second level colleges blitz will take place in Breffni Park 3G pitch in Cavan this Friday the 14th Match for 1st and 2nd years. The blitz is open to all Cavan, Meath, Monaghan and Louth schools. For more information contact gerard@camogie.ie
 
Cumann na mBunscol tournament coming up in Fermanagh…
A cumann na mBunscol indoor blitz will take place in Bawnacre Centre Irvinestown on the 19th March where 20 schools will participate in the tournament to represent Fermanagh Camogie in Ulster Cumann na mBunscol.
 
Coaching Workshops
40 coaches attended a workshop for under 8, 10 and 12 coaches in Gort Community Centre Galway on Thursday the 6th March last. Tutor Gerry Spelman kept the group of 40 active for the 2 hour workshop giving them ideas and game based activities for coaching their under 8 up to under 12 girls.

Coaching Workshops coming up….
Antrim: A workshop for under 10 and 12 coaches entitled ‘Games to develop thinking players’ will take place in St.Louis Grammer Ballymena on Thursday 13th March. The workshop will show club coaches specific games on what to coach children at these age groups. It will also show how to modify these games so to make them easier/harder for participants.  Please contact lisa@camogie.ie to book a place on the workshop
 
Camán Get a Grip coaching courses coming up…
Camán Get a Grip foundation course will be held in Naas GAA club Kildare on 22nd March. Anyone interested in attending this course can contact patrick@camogie.ie

Referee Course coming up…
