School of Excellence Provincial Workshops:
The Munster workshop for school of excellence squad managers and coaches took place in Mallow Cork on Saturday the 22nd February. Guest coach Frank Flannery took the practical session on the day with 14 manager/coaches attending from Munster counties. 20 players from the Avondhu North Cork development squad participated in the practical on the day with the main theme of the practical session being game based training.
 
The Connacht workshop took place on Monday the 24th February in Abbeyknockmoy GAA club. All workshops have a theory and practical element. The theory part goes through the structures for the under 14 and 15 inter county school of excellence and development squad with information on the Camogie Associations diary for teenage players. Liam Hodgins took the practical session on the night using under 14 and 16 players from Craughwell and St. Thomas clubs. 23 coaches attended the practical session on the night.

Fermanagh Mentoring coaching Programme
A 12 week mentoring/coaching programme will take place in Fermanagh starting on 26th February. 3 club areas have been chosen in Fermanagh namely Knocks, Belnaleck and Ederney to target for the development of hurling and camogie. This programme will be a support to providing coaching in clubs and schools and provide continued professional development for teachers and club personnel.
 
 
Donaghmore/Ashbourne Come Hurl with me Programme
A Come hurl with me programme is currently taking place over 6 weeks in the Donaghmore/Ashbourne club in county Meath. 24 children and 12 parents are taking part in the programme. Programme is being delivered by Richie O'Donnell and Co-ordinated by Bronagh Gaughan.

Cavan Camán Get a Grip Course
This foundation course took place in Bailieborough Cavan on the 10th and 17th February with 23 coaches completing the course. Thanks to Fr Ollie Reilly for co-ordinating this very successful course.

Level 1 Armagh
A Level 1 course is underway in Granemore Armagh with 10 coaches on the course. Coaches have completed both theory and practical modules on february 21st and 22nd with final date of level 1 this Saturday the 1st March. Well done to all on the course!

Coaching Workshops coming up…
A Goalkeeping workshop will take place in the watershed Leisure centre in Kilkenny on Thursday the 27th February at 7pm. Contact Patrick Mullaney to book a place on patrick@camogie.ie
 
A workshop for under 8,10 and 12 coaches will take place in Gort Community Centre on Thursday the 6th March at 7pm. Tutor will be Gerry Spelman. Please contact yvonne@camogie.ie to book a place on this workshop.
