This game was played in front of a large crowd on Sunday evening last in Bruff .
Both teams started well and traded scores for the first 20 minutes , but even though the Ballyagran backs had only given up 3 points in the first 33 minutes , a small defensive error left player of the game Eimear Ryan in to crash a great shot to the net just on the half time whistle .
Half Time Ballyagran 0-03 , Moneygall 1-03
Moneygall started best in the second half and added two more points within 3 minutes , to open a five point gap . Both sets of forwards were finding scores hard to come by .
Annette McAuliffe started the fight back with an excellent point but that was soon cancelled out again by Eimear Ryan .
With 20 minutes on the clock and still five points down Ballyagran started to grab the game by the scruff of the neck , star full forward Sharon Bulfin sent over two unanswered points to reduce the gap to just one score and a brilliantly struck 21 yard free a few minutes later by the number 14 had the crowd on the edge of their seats as the Moneygall goalie made a flying save to touch the ball onto the cross bar and out to safety .
Ballyagran owned the ball until the 56 minute when Moneygalls Edwina King scored an opportunist point to put 4 points between the two sides again .
This proved to be the decisive score.
