The Irish Daily Star Leagues will throw in on Sunday February 24th with holders Cork facing Tipperary in their opening round tie at Pairc Ui Rinn. 

Last year’s beaten finalists Wexford, under the new management of Martin Lynch, will commence their campaign with an away trip to Galway. Wexford were playing for four in-a-row league titles before losing to Cork in the Division One final in Semple Stadium last season.
 
This is the third year of the Irish Daily Star Leagues with a full round of fixtures, across four divisions taking place on the opening weekend. 
 
President of the Camogie Association Aileen Lawlor and Sports Editor of the Irish Daily Star Eoin Brannigan were joined by Leah Weste (Cork), Eimear O’Connor (Wexford), Edel Guy (Meath), Michelle McGuigan and Katie O’Brien, (Armagh) and Tara Wilson (Carlow) at this year’s league launch. 
 
Speaking about the upcoming Irish Daily Star Leagues President of the Camogie Association Aileen Lawlor said: 
 
“The Irish Daily Star Leagues are one of the most prestigious and eagerly anticipated competitions, on the camogie calendar and mark the commencement of another exciting season of inter-county action. This year, marks the third year of our association with the Irish Daily Star and we are delighted to have their strong support for this competition. I am looking forward to an exciting number of months with action across four divisions, starting on February 24th and I would appeal to all Gaelic games and camogie fans, to show your strong support, for your respective counties, throughout this year’s campaign”.

Player interviews in addition to a full round up of action will feature in the Irish Daily Star during the course of the camogie leagues. 
 
This year’s Division One and Two League Finals take place on May 5th and the Division Three and Four take place on May 4th.

Cork are the current Irish Daily Star League One champions and this year’s photocall was attended by representatives from teams competing in the four divisions: Leah Weste (Cork), Eimear O’Connor (Wexford) both Division One; Edel Guy (Meath, Division Two), Michelle McGuigan, Katie O’Brien (Armagh, Division Three), Tara Wilson (Carlow Division Four).
