Senior
Kilkenny 2 – 13  Offaly 2 – 10 (Thomastown)

Offaly were looking at repeating last year's first win over the Cats at half-time when they trailed Kilkenny by 1-5 to 1-4 having played into the stiff breeze at Thomastown.  But a great goal by Denise Gaule after the break and three further points put the home side 2-9 to 1-5 clear.  But true to their nature, Offaly fought back with an Arlene Watkins goal to reduce the gap to a goal with 10 minutes remaining.  Elaine Dermody struck 1-7 and Arlene Watkins added 1-3 to account for all of Offaly's tally. Three closing points by Anne Dalton and a fine display by Katie Power helped Kilkenny to a narrow victory.

Wexford 1 – 15  Dublin 0 – 4 (O'Toole Park)
A Fiona Kavanagh goal before half-time sent Wexford on their way to a comfortable win over Dublin.  With the breeze at their backs in the second half, the All-Ireland champions showed all their class with Ursula Jacob in fine form.  Dublin's Gráinne Quinn added to her growing reputation at full-back with a fine display.

Junior

Offaly 3 – 8  Dublin 0 – 14

This game took a bizarre twist four minutes into added time when Dublin wing back Shauna Duff suffered a back injury following an awkward fall.  With a further minute of added time to play and only three points separating the sides, the teams had to wait for an hour before the game could be finished.  Three first half goals from Offaly – Rachel Brennan, Catherine Kenna, Rebecca Hoctor – were vital took Offaly's win while 11 placed balls from Georgina Kelly provided all bar three points of Dublin's total.

Laois 2 – 7  Meath 0 – 9

Division 3 league winners caused an upset when they knocked out Division 2 side Meath – goals were also the difference in this game from Sarah Anne Fitzgerald and Elaine Mahony with a sizeable contribution from Louise Mahony of 0-4.

Kildare w/o Carlow Scr
