I’d like to take a final opportunity to thank all the pitch providers (Blessington GAA, Dunganney GAA, and Portlaoise GAA) for their fantastic facilities. Clara Girls National School Coaching
A 6-week block of camogie coaching commenced on Tuesday 14th May in Clara all girls national school in Offaly. With Aoibhe Whelan the head coach, 44 girls took up the hurls for what was the first time for many. It wasn’t all skills and drills however, as there was games a plenty too. The first session was focused on introducing the grips, swings and beanbag solo’s and every girl enjoyed their session in the summer sun. Many thanks to Aoibhe, the 1st and 2nd class teachers and the school itself for getting involved in this new coaching block. Fantastic to see new girls coming to the game.
