LEINSTER CLUB LEAGUE 2009

The Leinster Club League 2009 had 22 teams competing for the Corn de Bhailis Cup.  Teams from counties including Kildare, Dublin, Westmeath, Meath, Wicklow, Laois, Wexford, Kilkenny and Carlow have taken to the field since February all in the hope of being crowned Leinster Club League Champions 2009.

The League was set up in 2007 to increase participation within weaker counties and provide more games for senior teams in the smaller counties.  As the league has grown so have the counties.  In 2008 a North section was introduced and this year such is the strength of the league that division one counties entered Intermediate teams also.  The league has proven successful for smaller counties in getting girls more games and creating links and good relations between counties.

Good Luck to the last four teams who compete in their Regional Finals next weekend Saturday 18th April, first team named will have home venue:

North Section: Raharney (Westmeath) V Johnstownbridge (Kildare)

South Section: Camross (Laois) V Blackwater (Wexford)

Overall Leinster League Final: Saturday 25th April. Venue & Time TBA
