Reflecting on another epic season for both Camogie and Hurling, Littlewoods Ireland has today announced that it will renew its sponsorship of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, the Littlewoods Ireland Camogie Leagues and the GAA Go Games Provincial Days for the forthcoming three years until 2022. In Dublin for the announcement, alongside Managing Director of Littlewoods Ireland Rossa Butler,  Uachtarán an Cumann Lúthchleas Gael John Horan and Ulster Camogie Chairperson Jennifer Cultra, were two of Gaelic Games’ most stylish players – both on and off the pitch – 2019 All-Ireland and All Star nominee Padraic Maher and 2019 Camogie All-Star winner Amy O’Connor.

Littlewoods Ireland has sponsored the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, the Littlewoods Ireland Camogie Leagues and the GAA Go Games Provincial Days since 2017 to an award-winning standard. The leading online retailer has helped to shine a light on female sport with the Littlewoods Ireland Camogie Leagues, providing live streaming of key games to over 140,000 in 2019. Littlewoods Ireland has also provided once in a lifetime experiences to two families over the past two years who had the chance to wake up in Croke Park on the morning of the All-Ireland Hurling Final through the Littlewoods Ireland Ultimate Croke Park Sleepover.

This summer the #StyleOfPlay campaign celebrated the concept of countless styles all working towards one thing. Whether it’s the players on the pitch, or the fans off of it, every hurling county has a different style of play. They all express themselves in different ways and have their own unique and individual style, but they all share one thing – a love for hurling and a dream of their county lifting the Liam MacCarthy cup. The GAA Go Games Provincial Days also saw 6,000 children getting the chance to play on the hallowed turf of Croke Park earlier this spring.

This summer, Littlewoods Ireland also celebrated the launch of a range of official GAA county jerseys now available on LittlewoodsIreland.ie in partnership with the GAA and O’Neills.

Speaking at the announcement, Rossa Butler, Managing Director of Littlewoods Ireland said: “We are delighted to renew our partnership with the GAA and Camogie Association. The last three years have been incredibly special, we have engaged with communities throughout the country through the Hurling Championship, Camogie League and also the GO Games provincial days in Croke Park. Our mission is to tell the story of the stylish game of hurling but in a way fans haven’t seen before, creating more conversations around the game and hopefully making the season more enjoyable for the fans and the players while doing so.”

Speaking at the announcement, Uachtarán an Cumann Camógaíochta Kathleen Woods said: “We are delighted to renew our partnership with Littlewoods Ireland for a further three years as sponsors of the National Leagues. Since coming on board as sponsors in 2017 Littlewoods Ireland have helped us to grow the reach of the competition to new audiences through innovative initiatives such as the livestreaming of fixtures throughout last year’s campaign. The genuine enthusiasm and passion which they have shown for the game has been infectious and I am excited for what the next three years will hold as we continue to collaborate with them. I am very much looking forward to the 2020 Littlewoods Ireland Camogie Leagues in the new year and it promises to be another exciting year of top-quality intercounty Camogie.”

Speaking about the sponsorship renewal, Uachtarán Cumann Lúthchleas Gael John Horan said: “We are delighted to extend our partnership with Littlewoods Ireland for the GAA Hurling All-Ireland Senior Championship. Littlewoods Ireland have been a fantastic partner over the past three years and have really demonstrated their interest and commitment to the game. It is thanks to the support of Littlewoods Ireland that we can continue to develop and promote the game to a level that reflects its status as a national treasure. They have highlighted their understanding of the game in the GAA community through highly successful campaigns like #StyleOfPlay and the Ultimate Croke Park Sleepover on the eve of the All-Ireland Hurling Final. We also recognise and applaud their work with the Littlewoods Camogie Leagues which ties in well with the overall promotion of the Gaelic Games. We are looking forward to continuing to work together.”
