Trim 3-6 Blackhall Gaels 1-1

Trim got to grips with Meath Senior Camogie Champions of 2008 Blackhall Gaels with an impressive display in the Senior League. First half goals were the difference between the two teams as Trim clocked up two.

Their opening scores coming from Dearbhla O’Carroll & Blathnaid Canty. Blackhall Gaels had good performances from centre field players Jane Burke and Grainne Ennis and Emma Fahy at full back. However, Trim put on the pressure. Grainne Ennis secured a goal midway in the first half, as Trim completed the scoring with two points.

Junior League

Donaghmore Ashbourne 6-7 Na Fianna 0-0

Donaghmore/Ashbourne continued their winning ways this Saturday at home to Na Fianna. The first half saw Donaghmore/Ashbourne set a fast pace with a very strong work rate, they were looking for victory so that they could claim a place in next weeks league final against Dunderry.

The combination of Lizzy Lynch and Michelle Johnston at mid-field proved too much for the Na Fianna side with the ball rarely going past the half way line. The Donaghmore forwards capitalised with the half time score 1-5 to no score.

Although Na Fianna came back strong Donaghmore/ Ashbourne had found their confidence and seemed to do nothing wrong on the day.  They proved the dept of their talents when introduced the four substitutes onto the pitch.

After an exceptional performance substitute Jenny Long scored a spectacular goal. The other scores came from Bronagh Gaughan, Sinead Baxter, Amy McAtamey and Lizzy Lynch.

Don/Ash: A. Ferry, S. Keegan, L. Dervan, E. Tormey, J. Adair, D. Burnell, E. Keavney, L. Lynch, M. Johnston, S. Baxter, B. Gaughan, M. Finn, A. McAtamey, A. Fitzgerald, S. Keegan.
