AIB, proud sponsors of the Camogie All-Ireland Club Championships, this week unveiled the first full episode of their new content series ‘Meet #TheToughest’ featuring action from the AIB Leinster Camogie Club Championship final that saw three players across the two finalist teams wearing cameras on the field of play for the first time ever in Gaelic Games.

The AIB Leinster Camogie Club Championship final between Dicksboro (Kilkenny) and St Vincent’s of Dublin, was played at Netwatch Cullen Park in Carlow on November 19th, and saw Aisling Maher, Muireann Kelleher (St Vincent’s) and Aoife Prendergast (Dicksboro) wearing cameras on the field of play, to allow fans a never-before-seen perspective into one of #TheToughest championships in the world. The ‘Meet #TheToughest’ series will allow viewers to experience the game from the perspective of the players on the pitch.

The second installment of the series will focus on the action from this weekend’s All-Ireland semi-final showdown between Sarsfields (Galway) and Sarsfields (Cork) which takes place this Saturday, December 2nd at Mallow GAA at 3:30pm. To look ahead to all of this weekend’s AIB Camogie All-Ireland Club Championship semi-final action, AIB was joined today by Maria Cooney (Sarsfields, Galway), Niamh O’Callaghan (Sarsfields, Cork), Roisin McCormick (Loughgiel Shamrocks) and Ciara Phelan (Dicksboro, Kilkenny).

Proud sponsors of the Camogie Club Championships for 11 years, AIB knows what it takes to compete in #TheToughest matches in Gaelic Games. ‘Meet #TheToughest’ aims to get under the skin of what it truly means to be #TheToughest and will take viewers right onto the field of play, allowing them an insider’s glimpse into life on the pitch for the first time ever. The action will unfold through the eyes and voices of the players, allowing fans to both hear and see every key moment, showcasing the game from the players’ own perspectives, and highlighting their speed, skill and dedication.

Speaking about the opening episode of ‘Meet #TheToughest’, AIB Chief Marketing Officer, Mark Doyle said: “The AIB Leinster Camogie Club Championship final in Carlow delivered incredible excitement, skill and passion from all involved. It follows on from AIB’s innovative 2022 series, ‘Tailteann Cup: Mic’d Up!’, which saw AIB bring fans across the white line with mic’d up inter-county footballers, allowing them to hear all of the action on the pitch for the first time in Gaelic Games.
