Forty-eight graduates of the newly-revamped MNA Programme are being recognised this weekend, as the Camogie Association initiative placed a strong emphasis on developing and empowering female volunteers within our Clubs.
The initiative aimed to enhance confidence, leadership capacity, and personal growth among participants, while also fostering a sense of community and mutual support.
Participants engaged in a series of online and in-person workshops, each designed to address key aspects of self-development and leadership.
The MNA Programme served as both a platform for learning and a space for women to connect with others on similar journeys of growth.
A total of 48 women completed the programme from a total of 39 clubs across the country. There were eight online workshops, and one in person workshop.
- What is your why for volunteering (purpose)
- Team Bonding & Building Connections
- Time Management
- Being a leader and self reflection
- Communication & Confidence
- Mentoring and Support Others, Recruitment
- Goal Setting
- Wellbeing and Resilience
- Mindset, Values and Personal Growth
A graduation was held in Croke Park on the afternoon of the AIB Club Championships Finals on 14th December, with 29 women attending along with their families.
Throughout the programme, participants developed a diverse and well-rounded skill set encompassing personal growth, leadership, and communication. The workshops fostered:
- Increased self-confidence and self-leadership.
- Improved team effectiveness and collaboration within Clubs.
- Greater readiness to take on leadership roles in both volunteer and professional settings.
- Stronger focus on resilience, wellbeing, and constructive conflict resolution.
The MNA Programme successfully provided a meaningful journey of self-development and empowerment. Participants emerged with greater confidence, enhanced leadership abilities, and the skills to drive positive change within their Clubs and communities. The initiative continues to be a vital platform for nurturing the next generation of female leaders within our organisation
Brian Molloy, Uachtarán an Chumainn Camógaíochta, said: “I want to warmly congratulate all 48 graduates of this year’s MNA Programme. This newly revamped initiative has provided an exceptional platform for women to develop confidence, leadership skills, and personal growth, while also fostering connection and support across clubs. The dedication and commitment shown by all participants is inspiring, and I am confident that the skills and knowledge they have gained will have a lasting impact, strengthening their clubs and communities and helping to nurture the next generation of female leaders within our Association. Comhghairdeas libh uilig.”
